Introduction
The East District is the area east of Tainan Train Station, known for its traditional cultural and educational atmosphere and the presence of prestigious schools. Compared to the old Tainan atmosphere in the Central and Western districts, the East District is filled with youthful energy and an elegant scholarly atmosphere. Visiting National Cheng Kung University in the East District, which is favored by Taiwanese employers, offers a completely different ambiance compared to renowned universities in the northern part of Taiwan and gives a more romantic feeling. The university is named after Cheng Successful, and its iconic symbol is the huge banyan tree in the middle of the campus, attracting many people to take photos underneath. The internet novel "The First Intimate Contact" once caused a sensation at NCKU, and one of the famous scenes—the McDonald's on University Road—is still there, although the new generation of young people may not be aware of the classic combo: "a large Coke and two orders of French fries."
