Introduction

The Chimei Museum is a private museum located in the Ren-De District of Tainan City, Taiwan. It was founded and and managed by the founder of the Chi Mei Corporation, Mr. Shi Wen-Long. The museum primarily collects Western art and encompasses four areas including art, history, anthropology, and science. The museum was officially opened in 1992, occupying the 5th to 8th floors of the Chi Mei Corporation's building and offering free admission to the public. Since May 2013, the original museum has been closed and its collections have been relocated to a new building in the Tainan Metropolitan Park. The new building is a two-story structure with one underground level.

To the security bus transfer station opposite the Zhi-bao-an Station, you can take the Red 3, Red 4, or Red 3-1 (weekend service) and get off at the Chi Mei Museum Station. Then walk about 10 minutes from the Wenxian Parking Lot (P4) of the museum to the museum entrance (indicated by the English map number I).
