Introduction
The building of the Taiwan Literature Museum was formerly the Taiwan Prefecture Office, symbolizing the architectural style of the Japanese colonial period. During the period of 1910-1920, Japanese architects who received training in Western architectural knowledge came to Taiwan, and most of them were devoted to applying classical Western architectural styles to public buildings. These architects applied their architectural ideas to public buildings such as the Literature Museum, showcasing the authority and modernity of the colonizers' choice of Western culture. Today, the building has been transformed into the Taiwan Literature Museum, with the clever integration of old architecture and new spaces. Even if you are not interested in Taiwanese literature, just observing the architectural renovation is worth a visit. Address 1 Zhongzheng Road, West Central District, Tainan City 700, Taiwan
