International Bodhisattva Sangha, A Tranquil Sanctuary of Modern Zen
147 Yonglong Road, Dali District, Taichung City

Introduction
This is a unique temple that completely subverts people's imagination of Buddhist temples. The building is entirely made of reinforced concrete, with vines crawling on the walls and floor-to-ceiling windows filled with bright light, showcasing contemporary design concepts. Upon entering the temple, there is a slight feeling of an art gallery or a café, which may lead passersby to misunderstand. The temple is devoid of extravagant ornaments and excessive religious rituals. The design of the entire Bodhisattva Temple, from the water wall at the entrance, to the bell tower on the second floor, the Dharma listening hall in the main hall, the Dharma transmission on the third floor, all the way to the altar on the top floor, conveys the idea of transition from "existence" to "emptiness", representing the true transformation from "mundane" to "transcendence". The temple features many hollow designs that echo the changing seasons and create a sense of the passage of time with the changing light and shadow. The integration of the interior and exterior spaces creates a sense of Zen throughout the entire building. Address 147 Yonglong Road, Dali District, Taichung City
