Introduction
Jisaki Beach is located in Fengbin Township, Hualien, and was originally a salt field called "Kalu'alan" by the Amis people, where they would gather salt after hunting. It is now approximately 40 kilometers from Hualien City and is surrounded by mountains, with a small hill at its southern end, making for a beautiful scenery. The beach spans 3 kilometers, with black sand that results from the tide bringing up rocks and sand from the sea floor in the winter, and golden sand visible during low tide in the summer. It is ideal for water activities and has been developed into a seaside recreation area, including facilities for swimming, camping, and restaurants.
On the south side of Jisaki Bay, there are still places where fishermen use rafts to enter and exit the shore, and people often take rafts to fish on the reefs. This is also a popular fishing spot for catching grouper and other fish, as well as a night fishing spot for Whitebait.
The Da Shi Bi Shan Trail at the headland is a nature trail that is great for families to explore together. Visitors can climb this undulating staircase to observe the ecology and terrain of the area. Transportation Northbound route: From Taitung, take Provincial Highway 11 through Beinan, for a total distance of approximately 138 kilometers.
