Introduction

Sheding Nature Park is the highlight of eco-tourism in Kenting, just a short ten-minute drive from Kenting Street. Join the Sheding ecological tour at night and be amazed by the wonderful sights in the dark. Viewing fireflies, luminescent mushrooms, sika deer, and more allows you to experience the magic of nature. From September to October, Sheding Park is a passage for the crested serpent eagle and grey-faced buzzard to fly to the Philippines, providing a great opportunity for bird watching. Additionally, exploring the sizeable canyons and terrain of Sheding is also a good experience. Note that there are no shops or restrooms along the way, so be sure to bring enough water. You can sign up directly at the Kenting Management Office or consult with your homestay owner for more information. Sheding Nature Park covers an area of 128.7 hectares and is one of the later attractions to open in Kenting National Park. There are coral plantations and broad views, and the trees growing on the reefs are deeply influenced by the northeastern monsoon, forming natural bonsai trees. The park also has abundant flora and fauna, limestone caves, and a "one-line sky" landscape formed by coral reef rock cracks. There are over 329 species of plants here, with many butterfly food plants, making it an ideal area for observing and researching butterflies.
