Introduction

228 Peace Park is located on Zhongzheng 4th Road by the Love River in Kaohsiung City. It used to be the site of a famous underground shopping mall, but was rebuilt as Renai Park after a fire and recently renamed 228 Peace Park. The park is lush with trees and green lawns, making it a focal point for the Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung. It also features a children's play area and a roller-skating rink, which hosted the roller skating competition during the 2009 Kaohsiung World Games. Additionally, the park is home to the 228 Peace Memorial and a memorial plaque displaying the names of those who lost their lives during the 228 Incident.
