Introduction

Xizi Bay, located on the south foothills of Mount Shoushan on the west side of Kaohsiung City, is a beautiful harbor with breathtaking views of the sunset and natural reefs. It was once known as "Yanglu Bay" or "Yangzi Bay," and a writer named Zhao Chang wrote a poem about it titled "Singing Woodcutter in the Sloping Bay." "Xie Wan" means "West Bay" in the Minnan dialect, and gradually became the name "Xizi Bay." The sunset at Xizi Bay is one of the Eight Sights of Kaohsiung. When dusk falls, couples come here to share their feelings and add a romantic touch. In addition, it is also a spectacular sight to see frequent cargo ships entering and leaving the port, and nearby attractions such as Xiongzhen North Gate and the British Consulate are not to be missed.
