Introduction
The Coloane Island is located in the southern part of Taipa Island, Macau, about 2 kilometers away from Macau, and is connected to Taipa by the artificially built Cotai Strip. The western part of the island is separated from Daxiangan Island in Zhuhai by a narrow strait of less than 300 meters. The island has a large undulating terrain and is one of the highest places in Macau, with very few plains. In the past, the development of Coloane Island was slow, mainly relying on fishing and some shipyards. However, in recent years, power plants, cement plants, and deep-water ports have been successively built on the northeast coast, and plans are underway to reclaim land for industrial development in the northwest. In addition, the island has two beautiful beaches, Hac Sa and Cheok Van, located on the southeast and south coasts of the island, respectively. With the continuous development of Macau, the development of Coloane Island is also gradually accelerating.
