Introduction
St. Paul's Fortress, one of China's oldest Western-style fortresses, is located near the Ruins of St. Paul's. This fortress, once the core of Macau's defense system, now stands as a historical landmark. If you are interested in historical relics, you can visit the nearby Macau Museum (open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00-18:00, admission fee of 15 Macau patacas) to learn about the changes Macau has undergone over the centuries.
In addition to history enthusiasts, many local residents come here for relaxation. The open space on top of the fortress has been transformed into a garden, providing a beautiful environment for visitors to enjoy a cup of Starbucks coffee, admire the scenery, and engage in conversations. From here, you can overlook the charming old town area of Macau, as well as the remnants of St. Paul's Church, offering a panoramic view.
