Introduction

Tian Tan Buddha is located next to the Po Lin Monastery and in the Ngong Ping 360 area on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. This large outdoor bronze seated Buddha is one of the most iconic religious buildings in Hong Kong. To visit the Tian Tan Buddha, visitors need to climb 268 steps and can then learn about the history and culture of the statue in the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is divided into three floors, with the third floor housing a Buddha relic. One of the highlights of the Ngong Ping 360 area is its crystal cable car, which has a transparent design for passengers to enjoy the views. However, due to the height of the Buddha and the lotus throne, visitors may not be able to see the statue in poor weather conditions or when it is covered in fog. In winter, moisture easily condenses into fog, which also affects the viewing experience.
