Introduction

The Hainan Hall is dedicated to 108 Qiongqiao ancestors. According to legend, during the Qing Dynasty, these overseas Chinese were attacked and killed by Vietnamese soldiers when they passed through Hue, and their belongings were looted. Ancient books record that the souls of these ancestors often bless those who travel at sea. Nowadays, traditional ceremonies are still held in the hall to honor these deceased individuals on important holidays.
