Introduction
In 2003, UNESCO recognized Tel Aviv's White City, represented by Bauhaus architecture, as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Tel Aviv's architects were influenced by the Bauhaus school and their housing designs were both aesthetically pleasing and practical for the Mediterranean climate, making them an important solution to the housing needs of immigrants. Today, Tel Aviv has become an international metropolis with skyscrapers, but the White City consists of modest residential buildings. Despite its relatively young age of just over 70 years, it is one of the 668 World Cultural Heritage Sites globally and one of the 15 modern cultural heritage sites. The White City perfectly combines local culture, traditions, and geographic elements, representing different cultural movements of early 20th-century modern architecture and serving as an outstanding model for urban planning. In conclusion, the importance of cultural heritage lies not in its age but in the cultural significance it represents.
