Introduction

Fin Garden is the oldest surviving traditional Persian garden in Iran, located near Fin village. The garden was originally built in the early 17th century during the early Safavid dynasty. The main theme of the garden is its pools and fountains, supplied by the nearby Sulaimaniyah spring. Despite not using any pressure tools, the garden's springs still naturally flow into the pools and provide irrigation for the plants, thanks to its unique water supply system. The garden's architecture includes the main entrance, walls, bathhouses, as well as the private residence and museum of Emperor Abbas. In 1852, Amir Kabir, the Prime Minister of the Qajar dynasty, was assassinated in the bathhouse. Many rulers have conducted continuous work to protect and expand the garden, ensuring its exceptional preservation. Due to its representation of Persian garden characteristics and the importance of its cultural heritage, Fin Garden was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2012.
