Introduction

Chak Chak is a famous Zoroastrian pilgrimage site in Iran, located on a hill in the Kalout Desert, about 70 kilometers from the center of Yazd. From the top, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Kalout Desert. The name "Chak Chak" comes from the sound of water droplets dripping from the rocks. Inside the cave, there is a fire temple called Pir-e Sabz, which attracts followers from around the world for pilgrimage from June 14th to 18th every year. The temple's entrance is marked by two bronze doors with Zoroastrian symbols. It is worth noting that reaching the temple requires climbing a steep mountain trail (about 20 minutes) and visitors must remove their shoes upon entering. The cave is filled with dripping springs, so even in the peak of summer, it feels very cold inside.
