Introduction

Bagh-e Eram, pronounced in Persian, means the Paradise Garden. It is one of the most famous gardens in Shiraz and is also listed as a World Heritage Site. The word "Eram" is derived from the Arabic word "Iram," meaning "paradise," mentioned in the Quran. The garden was built during the Qajar dynasty and features a beautiful central fountain and long water channels. There is also a small palace, Kakh-e Eram, inside the garden, but visitors are not allowed to enter. The Paradise Garden has had a profound influence on garden architecture in India and Spain.
