Kakh-e Ali Qapu, A Royal Panorama Amidst Scaffolds
Esfahan, Iran
4.2
Introduction
The Ali Qapu Palace is located at a height of six stories and served as the royal residence of Abbas I in the late 16th century, with the second floor being his parade ground. Ali Qapu, meaning "high gate" in Persian, features an observation deck supported by 18 columns, offering the best view of the square and surrounding mosques. However, the scaffolding installed on the observation deck has severely affected its original landscape for a long time. Transportation Walk to Imam Square in Isfahan city center.
