Introduction

Phra Pathom Chedi is the symbol of Nakhon Pathom province and one of the most famous attractions in the area. This Buddhist stupa, built in the 7th century, stands at a height of 127 meters and has a diameter of 57 meters at its base. It is one of the tallest stupas in the world and resembles an inverted bell, shining with brilliant golden hues. In the 19th century, it underwent restoration and preservation. Inside the stupa, there is a museum that houses many artifacts discovered in Nakhon Pathom. During the annual Loy Krathong festival in November, a grand religious ceremony takes place here, attracting a large number of worshippers.
