Introduction

Wat Phra Si or Wat Yai is commonly called by the locals. This temple houses a highly revered bronze Buddha statue known as Phra Pattuha Chinnarat, which is highly respected in Thailand and worldwide, and often replicated. The significance of this Buddha statue is second only to the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok, attracting a large number of devotees every year. Additionally, the temple has a small museum displaying various Buddha statues and historical artifacts.
