Introduction
Wat Sorasak, located in the southern part of the city center, is a bronze statue built in honor of King Rama III. The statue is twice the actual height of the King, with his right hand holding a Buddhist scripture and his left hand gesturing to speak to people. The reliefs on the throne showcase the glorious achievements of King Rama III's life. Sitting on the throne, King Rama III has a dignified yet compassionate expression, perfectly embodying the legendary character of this great king. This is a place highly revered by the Thai people.
