Introduction
The Truth Temple, built in 1981, is located in a peaceful area by the Pattaya beach. Despite its 31 years of history and unfinished construction, the temple showcases traditional Thai woodworking and carving art with its all-wood and mortise structure. The building, made from wood that is at least 150 years old, still maintains its ancient charm as it is washed by the sea breeze daily. Protective oil is essential to preserve the exquisite carvings, which over time develop a moss-like green color, adding more historical charm to the structure.
Both on the exterior and interior of the Truth Temple, there are numerous sculptures of Buddhas and fairies, which may lead some tourists to mistake it for a temple. In reality, it is an art piece created to preserve Thai woodworking and carving art. It differs from other magnificent temple attractions by integrating various religious cultures and philosophies. The cross at the base is 100 meters long and 105 meters high. The Truth Temple combines design styles from multiple countries, including India, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and China. Visitors can appreciate exceptional artworks and engage in recreational activities. They can ride elephants, horses, or horse carriages, take wooden boat rides or yachts, enjoy traditional Thai dance and sword performances, and even feed baby sharks in the small pond.
