The Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center is located in the southern suburbs of Chiang Mai and is a cultural venue consisting of the Chiang Mai Textile History Museum and a restaurant. The Chiang Mai Textile History Museum showcases the development of the Chiang Mai textile industry and the evolution of clothing styles since the Lanna Kingdom. In the exhibition hall, visitors can admire fabrics and costumes from different eras, especially the splendid royal and aristocratic attire, displaying the rich cultural heritage of the northern Thai ethnic groups. The entrance fee is 100 baht. Every evening at 7 pm, the restaurant hosts a "Kantoke" banquet where customers sit at small round tables and enjoy dishes once served to royalty while watching traditional dances and performances from the northern Thai ethnic groups. For those who appreciate Thai local culture, the Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center is an excellent choice.
