Introduction

Near Songpang Gate, there is a beautiful temple called Wat Phuak Hong. Upon entering, you will see a typical Lanna-style monastery with contrasting gold and red inlays. However, the most striking feature of this temple is the rare cone-shaped seven-story pagoda behind it. Built in 1517 AD, the pagoda has 52 niches containing meditating Buddha statues. This shape may have been influenced by Chinese-style pagodas, with a beautiful ceramic decoration at the base.
