Introduction

Chūson-ji Temple, also known as Hiraizumi-ji Temple, was established in 850 and has a history of over a thousand years. The temple features a golden hall, covered inside and out with shimmering gold leaf, making it an architectural masterpiece. Chūson-ji is also a famous autumn leaf viewing spot in the Tohoku region, attracting many visitors each year. Additionally, from April to October, visitors can participate in Buddhist meditation and sutra copying activities, with a meditation fee of 200 yen and sutra copying fee of 1000 yen.
