Introduction

Shuzenji Temple is a Soto Zen temple located in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It has a mountain name of Fukuchi Mountain and full name of Fukuchi Mountain Shuzen Manan Zenji Temple. The temple was established in 807 AD (Daido 2) and its present name was established in the early Kamakura period. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions around Shuzenji Temple. The temple's purification fountain is fed by hot spring water.

Opening hours
From April to September every year, the working hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and during the rest of the year, the working hours are from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Transportation
You can take a bus from the front of Shuzenji Station to Shuzenji Onsen, which takes about 15 minutes, and get off and walk for 5 minutes to reach your destination.
