Introduction
Daisho Pond on the banks of Azusa River in Kamikochi is a special scenic spot and a special natural monument of Japan. The reservoir was formed in 1915, and is connected to the famous Kappa Bridge. With only one hotel nearby, the Daisho Pond Hotel, it is very serene and gives visitors a feeling of a hidden paradise. Typically, hikers will turn back here as it is a considerable distance from the center of Kamikochi. However, this is also what sets it apart from other destinations.
