Introduction

fans of Yoshitomo Nara must visit here. The museum has specially created a 8.5-meter-tall sculpture of "Aomori Dog" to welcome Yoshitomo Nara. It not only collects works by Yoshitomo Nara, but also displays works by many local artists in Aomori; in addition, you can also appreciate original works by internationally renowned artists such as Picasso and Matisse.

June to September: 9:00-18:00
October to May of the following year: 9:30-17:00. Entry stops 30 minutes prior to closing. Closed on the second and fourth Monday of each month (If the day falls on a holiday, the closure will be moved to the following day), as well as from December 29th to December 31st.

Transportation

Take a bus from No. 2 bus station in front of Aomori Municipal Car Station (heading towards the Driver's License Center), and get off at the County Art Museum station, which takes about 20 minutes.
