Introduction

The zoo located at the northernmost tip of Japan is the largest polar animal zoo in Japan. Take bus no. 41, 42 or 47 from JR Asahikawa Station exit no. 6 and get off at Asahiyama Zoo. Buses depart every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 40 minutes. The fare is 440 yen.
