Introduction

Hakodate has a tropical botanical garden with many tropical plants for people to enjoy. But the most captivating attraction for tourists is the Hot Spring Monkey Mountain. From December to May, a group of Japanese macaques often come to soak in the hot spring pool in the botanical garden. They can spend the whole day bathing, and their joyful appearance is admired by visitors.

Transportation
Take the Hakodate tram (streetcar) at JR Hakodate Station in the direction of Yunokawa. Get off at the last stop, Yunokawa, and walk south for about 15 minutes.
