Otaru Shisei-dori to Hana-no-dori

Introduction
The Temiya Line Railroad is one of the oldest railways in Hokkaido, built in 1880 to transport goods between nearby coal mines and the seaport. It was later taken over by the Japanese government, but as Otaru Station became more busy, the Temiya Line gradually lost its function. In 1985, the entire line was discontinued and transformed into a city street garden landscape. Now, visitors can stroll through the flower beds on both sides of the Temiya Line, admire the city sculptures, and even encounter lazy cats sunning themselves. It is a great place to take a walk and relax. If you continue along the Temiya Line, you will reach the intersection of Nichigin-dori and Sushidori, where you can enjoy the city scenery and the sense of history. The planning of the Temiya Line district is thoughtful, allowing people to fully experience the charm of Otaru. In addition, the Otaru Glass Market is held on the Temiya Line from July 26th to 28th every year, bringing even more fun for visitors. Address Otaru Shisei-dori to Hana-no-dori
