Introduction

Through the cypress forest of the Alishan Grand Hotel, you can see a small emerald pool on the left, which is the little sister pool in the Sisters Pool. Legend has it that the Sisters Pool is where two mountain sisters pursued love together and died together. The water is clear, green, calm and pleasant. The little sister pool is circular and covers an area of ​​20 pings. On the right is a Japanese red pine forest renewed by natural regeneration in 1930, which is the most dense group of cypress trees in the Alishan Forest Recreation Area. The sister pool is larger than the little sister pool, rectangular in shape, covering an area of ​​160 pings, with two cypress-based pavilions in the pool and a wooden bridge connecting the bank. The two pools are less than 50 meters apart and can be viewed from the panoramic trail along the pool.
