Introduction
Open in 1969, the Hakone Open-Air Museum is located in Hakone and covers an area of 70,000 square meters. It is the first open-air museum in Japan. The museum showcases over 100 sculptures by famous artists such as Rodin, Bourdelle, and Moore from the modern and contemporary periods. The exhibitions and landscapes of the museum exhibit different qualities in various seasons and weather conditions. Additionally, the museum features five exhibition halls, including the Picasso Pavilion and a children's playground, as well as facilities like natural fountains and foot baths. Visitors can immerse themselves in the wonderful experience of nature and art here. Around 120 pieces of modern and contemporary sculpture are permanently housed in the museum, providing visitors with a unique cultural travel experience.
