Introduction
Ogami Shrine, located in Tokyo, was built as a subsidiary shrine of the traditional Ise Grand Shrine in the 13th year of the Meiji era and has become well-known in recent years for matchmaking. Emperor Taisho (then Crown Prince) held his wedding ceremony here, initiating the tradition of Shinto weddings. Visitors can write their own names and their partners' on wooden strips and hang them here to pray for successful relationships. After the visit, visitors can draw various types of omikuji, including love fortunes, marriage fortunes, flower fortunes, and English fortunes.
