Introduction

Kiso River is a river in central Honshu, Japan. Its source is in the southwest of Nagano Prefecture, and it flows through Gifu, Aichi, and Mie prefectures before finally emptying into Ise Bay of the Pacific Ocean. It is the main river of the Kiso River system, and is one of the three major rivers called the Kiso Sansen together with the Nagara River and the Ibi River. At its source, it is also called the Miso River.
