Introduction
Sumida Aquarium is an aquarium that uses a fully artificial seawater system created by Taisei Corporation. This facility, located in the Kanto region, is the second aquarium in Japan to use completely artificial seawater. Unlike other aquariums that transport seawater using large vehicles and generate carbon dioxide, Sumida Aquarium does not have this issue. The use of artificial seawater also allows for specific water quality to create a comfortable environment for marine life.
