Introduction

Mount Tsukuba, located in the Kanto Plain, is known as the "Mt. Fuji of the East" for its winding and spectacular mountain landscape. Since ancient times, Mount Tsukuba has been a center of mountain faith, with Tsukuba Shrine buildings located on the peaks of both Men's Mountain and Women's Mountain. At the foot of the mountain, there are gates and shrines for people to worship, and it is revered by many believers. In addition, in Japan's oldest poetry collection "Manyoshu", this beautiful mountain peak is also praised as "Purple Peak", which is admirable. Mount Tsukuba is not only a spiritual site but also a beautiful tourist destination with stunning natural scenery. About 3,000 plum trees of approximately 30 varieties are planted in the city-operated Plum Garden, and from mid-February to mid-March, the huge rocks in the mountain and the blooming plum blossoms create a unique and stunning view, attracting visitors from all over the world. Climbing to the top of the mountain not only offers a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Tokyo's skyscrapers in the distance but also allows for appreciation of its magnificent scenery. Using cable cars and aerial cranes, tourists can easily travel back and forth and enjoy the pleasure of climbing the mountain. As one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, Mount Tsukuba is destined to be an amazing natural work of art.
