Introduction

Toshogu Shrine is a shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Edo Shogunate. It is located in Ueno, Tokyo, and features a stone torii gate at the entrance, along with 200 stone lanterns and 50 bronze lanterns along the approach. The main hall, prayer hall, and Chinese-style gate exude a sense of history, and have been designated as important cultural properties. The inner sanctuary also houses artifacts related to Tokugawa Ieyasu.
