Introduction

Translated to English: The building was designed and constructed by famous architect Kenzo Tange for the Tokyo Olympic Games in the 1960s. The sports arena consists of two venues and features a suspension structure in a crescent shape. The interior of the venue has good natural lighting and the design and decor are extremely unique. In addition, the building also introduced the design of hydraulic shock absorbers installed at the base of the structure to mitigate vibrations, marking a new field pioneered in Japan.
