Introduction

A World Peace Pagoda is located on a hill, overlooking Phewa Lake and the city of Pokhara. It is a great spot to admire the snow-capped mountains. Many postcards and scenic paintings of Pokhara are taken from here. Tourists can choose to take a boat from Lakeside to reach the starting point and then hike up the hill, or take a motorcycle or hire a car. At the top of the hill, there are dining and accommodation facilities, where visitors can enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Due to limited capacity at the viewpoint, it is recommended to book and go in advance.

Transportation
The classic route usually starts from the north shore of Lake Phewa in the Lakeside area, and takes a ferry to the starting point at the foot of the mountain. After getting off the boat, walk along the small path on the right to Peace Pagoda, which takes about 1-1.5 hours on foot. Alternatively, you can choose to charter a car from the other side of the mountain and take the road up. If you take a taxi from the Lakeside area to Peace Pagoda, the one-way journey takes about half an hour and costs 800 rupees, while the round-trip cost is around 1100 rupees (you also need to negotiate the waiting time with the driver in advance).
