Introduction
Oasis 21, located in the bustling commercial district of Sakae in Nagoya, is a landmark building. Designed by renowned architect Hideto Kishida, it won the Solutia Award in 2003, which is specifically awarded to authors who use glass as a design element. The main building is surrounded by flowers and green grass, and is an eco-friendly three-dimensional park made of 15 tons of tempered glass, with a theme of a spaceship of water. Japanese people firmly believe in the concept of environmental protection, so this oasis is built in the center of Nagoya City, like a glass house filled with water, with a fish tank as big as a baseball field.
Oasis 21 is not only a magnificent landmark building in Nagoya, but also fully reflects the core concept of environmental protection. The design of this building is divided into four levels, the topmost level is the "spaceship of water", which is entirely made of glass and is a large water pool for collecting rainwater. The water depth is 7 cm, and the collected rainwater can provide energy for the facilities below, achieving the recycling of natural resources. In addition, there is a visitor area that provides a unique visual experience. The next level is the "Green Earth", where you can enjoy sunbathing in this park full of greenery. The underground level is the "bus terminal and subway entrance", where you can first go to the surrounding bustling shopping streets, sushi restaurants, performance venues and other places to fully enjoy this entertainment center with complete transportation functions. The last level is the "Sports Plaza", which can save energy required for lighting through sunlight, fully embodying the concept of environmental protection.
