Introduction
Located in the Alishan Forest Recreation Area, Shizhong Temple is the highest temple in Taiwan, with its main deity being Xuantian Shangdi. Since its renovation in 1969, a special butterfly known as the "divine butterfly" appears every year around the lunar third month before and after the birthday of Xuantian Shangdi. They will stop on the statue of the deity and not fly or move. This extraordinary phenomenon has continued for over 30 years, which is amazing.
