Introduction

Hirosaki Park was built in the early 17th century and served as a symbol of power in the Tsugaru region, as well as the center of the area. The park has three layers of moats and earth walls, stretching approximately 600 meters from east to west and 1,000 meters from north to south. Tourist spots such as the castle tower, observation deck, lotus pond, and shrines await visitors, while the cherry blossom tunnel and Somei Yoshino cherry trees are a must-see. At the Hirosaki Castle Botanical Garden, visitors can enjoy about 1,500 species and over 120,000 plants and trees, divided into 23 areas. The annual cherry blossom and autumn leaves festivals also attract visitors. Here, you can take pictures of the castle tower and the moat tinged pink by falling petals under the blooming cherry blossoms or enjoy the autumn leaves on the castle pier on warmer days. It is definitely a place not to be missed by photography enthusiasts.
