Introduction

Located 10 kilometers northeast of the center of Da Nang, the Son Tra Mountain, with an altitude of 693 meters, has become a landmark mountain visible from anywhere in the city. The location of the Son Tra Peninsula acts like a natural screen to embrace the Da Nang Port and protects it from typhoons. The mountain is covered with primitive forest and is a home to many wild animals. The Linh Ung Pagoda on the mountainside houses the Lady Buddha statue, the tallest in Vietnam. Local people believe that the statue is very effective, and they climb up the long steps to pray for good luck on weekends and holidays. In addition to the temples and the Lady Buddha statue, Son Tra Mountain is also a good place to climb and enjoy the panoramic view of Da Nang and the endless beautiful beaches, bringing you a sense of calm.
