Introduction

Kaohansi Waterfall is known as a pearl of Luang Prabang, located about 30km south of the city center. It has a large waterfall and several small waterfalls, forming a beautiful waterfall group with a total drop of 100 meters. Standing here, you can see the sunlight shining through the gaps in the leaves, illuminating every small waterfall and pool flowing at the foot of the mountain. The waterfall at the top of the mountain is the largest and requires climbing a rugged mountain road to reach it. It is recommended to choose the right side to go up and the left side to go down. The small waterfall group below flows into pools of different sizes, some of which are suitable for swimming. Due to the abundance of minerals, the pools present a surreal blue color, attracting many swimmers. Next to the pool at the foot of the mountain, the branch of a big tree extends over the pool. People tie a rope to the branch and swing into the water, providing an exciting and enjoyable experience. In addition to the beautiful scenery, visitors can also visit the Moon Bear Conservation Center, which is the new home for moon bears rescued from hunting guns.
