Introduction

The Victory Gate is the entrance on the east side of the Angkor Thom, surrounded by many ancient statues, among which the stirring of the Ocean of Milk statue gives a somewhat desolate feeling. These statues are all headless and have not been restored, left by the roadside. Compared to the lively atmosphere of the South Gate, there are fewer visitors here, perhaps one of the reasons for the missing heads of these statues. It is possible that these heads have been stolen, or they may be stored in museums. In either case, this will be seen as damage to ancient culture.
