Introduction

This ancient and picturesque white building is located on the road from Siem Reap to Angkor Wat, called "Angkor National Museum". The museum has eight exhibition halls, housing a variety of architectural and artistic treasures from the Angkor period. Among them, the Hall of a Thousand Buddhas is a separate exhibition hall for visitors to explore. Multimedia technology showcases the history, culture, and life of the Angkor period in various corners of the museum. The Angkor National Museum is divided into two floors, with seven areas on the first floor and six areas on the second floor. Start your tour from the first exhibition hall on the second floor, with a total of eight exhibition halls labeled A to G, each with a different theme, and end your journey at the shop on the ground floor. The first floor has an entrance, a courtyard, and four exhibition halls: Hall D "Angkor Wat", Hall E "Angkor Royal City", Hall F "Stories in Stone", and Hall G "Ancient Costumes". The second floor has three exhibition halls: an introductory hall, the independent Hall of a Thousand Buddhas, and Halls A, B, C, and D, which focus on "Khmer Civilization", "Religion and Beliefs", "Great Khmer Kings", and "Special Exhibitions", respectively. Whether you are familiar with Angkor culture or not, visiting the Angkor National Museum is a good choice to gain a deeper understanding of Cambodia's cultural heritage through its precious artifacts.
