Introduction
Choeung Temple, as an Indian-style Mahabodhi tower temple within the Angkor Royal City, is the first all-sandstone building and the architectural legacy of Jayavarman V. With its simple architectural style, Choeung Temple stands out among the architectural works in Cambodia. The temple consists of five tiered square towers in a mandapa architectural style, with the central tower reaching a height of 50 meters. Standing at the top of Choeung Temple, one can overlook the entire Angkor City and the surrounding lush green forests.
