Introduction

Roluos Group is one of the oldest and largest temple complexes built by the Khmer people, marking the beginning of Khmer classical art. It includes Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei temples, located about 13 kilometers east of Siem Reap and takes about 45 minutes to drive. Built in the late 9th century, these temples were Hindu temples, symbolizing the start of the Khmer classical art era. Prior to the Roluos Group, lighter construction materials such as bricks were commonly used, which had shorter lifespans. The group is close to Roluos town, a genuine Cambodian village where visitors can enjoy a unique countryside experience. If you are planning to visit Banteay Srei or Beng Mealea, don't miss the opportunity to explore the Roluos Group.
