Introduction

The Bacarra Church in the Philippines is one of the oldest churches in Asia, with a history of approximately 420 years. Its exterior shows signs of age, but the interior is luxuriously decorated and has a solemn and sacred atmosphere. It is said that the church was built several hundred years ago by over 200 forced laborers using coral stone as the main material and millions of egg whites as the adhesive, instead of traditional cement and tree sap. The architecture of the church follows a Spanish style and includes a museum exhibiting religious artifacts from the 16th century. Inside the church, there is also an ancient bell weighing approximately 270 kilograms.
