Introduction
Xingfu Temple, as an ancient temple of the Southern Dynasty, was named after a giant stone in front of the main hall with the shapes of the Chinese characters "Xing" and "Fu" during the reconstruction in the Xiaolian period due to its auspiciousness. As the temple is located near a stream, it is also known as Poshan Temple, where a famous battle between a white dragon and a black dragon occurred in the Tang Dynasty. Xingfu Temple is a garden-style architecture with many courtyards and beautiful landscapes, such as three maple trees in front of the gate resembling guardians, the broken dragon stream in front of the hall after a heavy rain, and the high stone sutra-pillars near Sanxing Hall. The main hall of the temple has a statue of a large number of Shangcai 53 participants behind the Buddha statue. In addition, there are four high halls and a scripture building commemorating the ancestors of Xingfu Temple on the east side of the central axis. There is also a square white lotus pond with multiple-layered lotus flowers and a fragrant white magnolia tree extending into the pond from the side. Behind the pond, there is a Tiger-Rescuing Tower, where it is said that a tiger wounded by an arrow was rescued by a high monk named Yan. Finally, on the east is the Mi Stele Pavilion featuring a poem written by Tang Dynasty poet Chang Jian, which describes the beauty and serenity of Poshan Temple.
